I read this article from engadget about the Indian Institute of Science are mass producing an Android Tablet for 35 dollars.

Low cost personal computing for every man and woman and child is coming! Imagine the possibilities for education at all levels of society, students of all ages can now use these to learn and communicate more globally.


This will increase literacy and help alleviate poverty.
